
Doug McVayPresidentPrior to founding LabWorks, Doug worked for 12 years as Development Engineer for the UCSF Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics. His responsibilities were managing the development, maintenance, repair and customization of of their biotechnical laboratory equipment. Doug received his engineering degree from Humboldt State University and currently resides on a small farm in Sonoma County, where in his spare time he raises sheep and poultry. |

Mike McVayGeneral ManagerMike brings a varied background to LabWorks. His previous experience includes 10 years in the materials management field, involving production and inventory control as well as scheduling and purchasing. Mike has been factory trained to work on a variety of laboratory equipment, and is also a classically trained chef. Franz McVayCFOFranz is a pioneer Silicon Valley entrepeneur where he founded and managed several high tech start-ups. Even though none of these companies were involved in gene splicing, he has passed his engineering DNA onto his offspringDoug and Mike. Franz is currently retired and living in Hawaii, enjoying windsurfing and just relaxing. John PegramField Service EngineerJohn joined LabWorks after serving in the US Air Force, and working as a heavy equipment operator for United Airlines. He has an extensive mechanical background, and has been an excellent addition to the LabWorks team. John has attended all applicable factory training classes so you can be assured he will provide you with the finest service. He is based in the South Bay, providing quick response to our customers in the area. Tony MartinService TechnicianTony joined Labworks after 4 years in the building trades. Previously, he worked for 13 years as an automotive technician, 7 of those years as a Master Lexus and ASE Certified Technician. His curiosity for how things work, along with an extensive mechanical and electrical background makes him a perfect fit for the Labworks team. Tony has attended all applicable factory training classes, so you can be assured of first-rate service, and is based in the east bay for quick response time. In his spare time, he enjoys restoring and tuning vintage motorcycles. |
